Story Behind The Song
The lyrics for this song came to me while I was reading and pondering over the scripture in Revelation 4:10,11.
Revelation 4:10,11 says “The twenty – four elders fall down before him who is seated on the throne and worship him who lives forever and ever. They cast their crowns before the throne, saying, Worthy are you, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, For you created all things, and by your will they existed and were created.”
In these scriptures is a revelation of the position of the twenty four elders; they a very esteemed beings who occupy a very important position right next to the throne of God.
However, in worship they cast their crowns at the feet of God and then bow, the symbolism of meaning of this picture before the Throne says that their position is not worth the presence and worship due God. Then the thought of if the twenty four elders in such esteemed glorious position will do this, how about we on earth? We must do much more in our earthly worship to God as no crown (position) on this earth can stand in comparison of this.
The book of John 7:38 talks of “streams of living water will flow from deep within the person who believes in me,” pondering over this scripture you’ll appreciate every stream comes from a source, and if the streams of living water will flow in us who believe, then the source of that stream can only be of God Himself.
Psalm 46:4 bears witness of such truth of the stream (river) of life, insert is a commentary that succintly expounds on this “There is a river. Divine grace like a smoothly flowing, fertilising, full, and never failing river, yields refreshment and consolation to believers. This is the river of the water of life, of which the church above as well as the church below partakes evermore. It is no boisterous ocean, but a placid stream, it is not stayed in its course by earthquakes or crumbling mountains, it follows its serene course without disturbance. Happy are they who know from their own experience that there is such a river of God.”

Let glory take over
My soul is willing
Oh Lord I worship you

Your unfailing love
So rich in mercy
How great is your grace
